Roth 401(k) vs. Pre-tax 401(k): A “Tax”-ing Decision [Video]

The ability to make after-tax Roth contributions to a 401(k) or 403(b) is still relatively new to most plans and continues to be a significantly underutilized option by those who could benefit most from it.

We find there is still a sizable knowledge gap related to the the pros & cons of this type of contribution vs. the traditional (and typical default) pre-tax contribution.  However, the route you choose (or don’t choose) can have a lasting impact on your retirement picture.  Here’s a video from Principal that does a great job of breaking down the decision-points.  Take a look and make an active, educated decision!
